I’ve been threatening to begin a site for a couple of years now. WordPress makes it just too easy to put it off any longer.
Welcome to my photogrpahy site. I’m Rick Phillips. I’m a wedding photographer in the Northern Virginia / Washington DC metro area.
I’ve been into photography my whole life. I’ve been “in training” as a wedding / event photographer since 2006.
It might not seem like a long time, but I’ve been lucky enough to work with one of the best area photographers, Joseph Allen (www.jallenimages.com), as an assistant and as a second shooter. I’ve since had work published in Capitol File, Washington Life, OnTap, Modern Drummer, and a couple of real estate trade rags you’ve never heard of. I’ve shot a dozen weddings, myself, and helped in a support capacity to at least another dozen.
